Greenfold Farm Projects is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Veterinary Doctor to join our growing team. In this critical role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the health and productivity of our farm animals.

What You’ll Do:

• Conduct comprehensive examinations to diagnose and determine the nature of illnesses in livestock.
• Develop and implement effective treatment plans using appropriate medications.
• Collect and analyze samples (tissue, feces, blood, etc.) to identify and address health concerns.
• Administer vaccinations to safeguard animals from preventable diseases.
• Provide expert advice to farm supervisors on animal care, hygiene, nutrition, medical conditions, and treatment options.
• Educate farm personnel about zoonotic diseases (transmissible from animals to humans).
• Implement and oversee quarantine and testing protocols to prevent disease outbreaks.
• Conduct inspections and testing to detect communicable diseases in livestock.
• Train farm supervisors on proper animal handling procedures.
• Stay current on animal diseases and preventative measures through research and continuing education.
• Develop comprehensive medical treatment plans for animal health needs.
• Perform autopsies and analyses to determine the cause of animal mortality.

What We’re Looking For:

• A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution.
• 3-5 years of experience working in a clinical or farm animal setting.
• Strong diagnostic and treatment skills for various livestock ailments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with farm staff.
• Commitment to animal welfare and preventative healthcare practices.
• Proficiency in record-keeping and data management.
• A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to different farms within the region (if applicable).

Piggery Management experience is considered a plus!
