Food Scientist (Urgently Needed)

Job Description

Responsibilities:

Conduct a wide range of food analyses, including nutritional profiles, contaminant testing, and microbiological assays.
Interpret and report test results accurately and clearly.
Develop and implement new testing methods to meet evolving client needs and regulatory requirements.
Conduct research and development projects to improve food safety, quality, and sustainability.
Provide technical support and consultancy to clients on food safety, quality control, and regulatory compliance.
Participate in training and development programs to stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in food science.
Maintain accurate and complete laboratory records and documentation.
Adhere to all safety regulations and quality control procedures.
Collaborate effectively with other team members, including chemists, microbiologists, and engineers.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a food science laboratory setting.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication, written, and verbal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and laboratory software.
Experience with HACCP and/or other food safety management systems is a plus.
Knowledge of Nigerian food regulations and standards is a plus.
