Job Description
DAI, a global consulting firm based in the United States, is currently accepting applications from candidates for technical and managerial long- and short-term positions on the anticipated Agriculture Value Chains Activity in Nigeria, funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). The anticipated goal of this new activity is to strengthen the agriculture and food system in Nigeria towards inclusive and sustainable agriculture-led growth.
Professionals with seven (7) or more years of experience in the following areas of expertise are sought for long- and short-term positions. Nigerian nationals are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Market systems development
- Agricultural value chains, including rice, maize, and/or horticulture
- Climate resilient agriculture
- Digital agriculture
- Food security
- Private sector engagement/development
- Gender, youth and social inclusion
- Monitoring, evaluation, learning, and reporting
- Strategic communications/outreach
- Grants development and management
- USAID project finance, operations, human resources, and contract administration
Qualifications
- Degree, from an accredited university, in a relevant or related field (such as economics, agriculture, natural resources, international development, or international relations). An advanced degree (master’s or higher) is preferred.
- Seven (7) or more years of experience in the area of expertise.
- Five (5) or more years of progressive management and leadership experience are required for managerial positions.
- Experience in Nigeria is preferred.
- Experience with international donor-funded programs, such as USAID.
- Strong communication skills—both written and oral—in English.
