Golden Oil Industries Limited was incorporated in Nigeria on 8th September, 1988, and has grown into a household name in Nigeria’s edible oil’s industry. The company’s focus is to provide healthy oil as a cooking medium to its customers. The company is Nigeria’s trusted name for supply of refined palm oil, palm kernel oil, olein, soybean Oil, stearin, soybean meal, soy lecithin, and palm kernel de-oiled cake. Our oils are used as healthy cooking medium. Soybean meal and palm kernel de-oiled cake are used in premier poultry / animal feed.

We recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Nursery Manager (Palm Plantation)

Location: Ondo

Responsibilities

  • Manage the nursery operations, including coordination of staff and contractors, material and equipment inventory, and ordering all supplies.
  • Maintain and oversee all aspects of nursery operations, including growing and transplanting plants, installing irrigation systems and greenhouses, and maintaining facilities
  • Detailed knowledge of plant production, soil, fertilizers, and growing techniques.
  • Monitor nurseries to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Creating staff work rosters and delegating duties.
  • Ordering nursery stock including soil, stones, fertilizers, shrubs and plants.
  • Monitoring watering times, soil conditions, and plant positions.
  • Monitoring weather conditions and paying special attention to hot or cold temperatures.
  • Execute strategies to provide plant care that can make certain they survive and thrive.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Studies, Horticulture, or a similar field.
  • 8+ Years’ experience working as a nursery manager.
  • Excellent communication and managerial skills.
  • Ability to create work rosters and delegate duties.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for customer service.
  • Knowledge of nursery management, supervision, irrigation systems and landscape management.
